I was intrigued when heard the introduction of Ron Paul’s son RAND Paul, from the video above. Could it be that Ron named his son after the famed philosopher and author?

For those of you who don’t know Ayn Rand here is some info that should get you up to date:
Ayn Rand was a Russian-born American novelist and philosopher, best known for creating a philosophy she named "Objectivism" and for writing the novels We the Living, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged and the novella Anthem. Her influential and controversial ideas have attracted both enthusiastic admiration and scathing denunciation.
Quotes:
“My Philosophy in essence is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity and reason as his only absolute”
“Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual).”
