To see that the mainstream media is mostly propaganda, one needs to look no further than the Republican presidential debates.

According to polls by MSNBC, Republican Ron Paul clearly won both debates and yet no other mainstream newspaper or television news program reported this poll. In fact, the New York Times almost did not even mention Ron Paul's name at the end of a major story written the day after the first debate, where Ron Paul had twice as many votes as McCain, Romney or Giuliani.

How can this be, you may ask?

Well, one needs only look at the statements made by the presidential hopefuls. For the most part, Ron Paul disagreed with the other nine who seemed to be pale copies of each other.

One would think that the Republican Party would be glad to get a candidate that had such a breathtakingly large lead so quickly in the debates. Ron Paul stated that he would bring back our troops immediately, disband the IRS and the Federal Reserve. In doing so, he would clearly show that he is not as much for big business and the wealthy as he is for the majority of Americans both middle-class and poor.

By disbanding the Federal Reserve, he would be taking the power from the private bankers who control the money supply and finances of the United States. This would stop the profits that these bankers make when they print billions of dollars of paper money and then say that the U.S. government owes them billions of dollars plus interest.

I guess Ron Paul would not be a good person for the Republican Party as their controllers would not want to lose this money or the billions of dollars in profits they make by keeping the U.S. military at war.

I don't understand why more people don't realize that this is all about money and profits - oil company profits and military hardware manufacturer profits.

I mean it's obvious to the Iraqis; why is it not obvious to us non-muslim, "educated" Americans?
