Ron Paul: The Audacity of Integrity
SPREAD THE WORD
| digg |
For almost eight years, America has been fooled by an administration that came to power and misuses its power by saying one thing, and doing another. They said they would decrease the size of government; we have the biggest bureaucracy ever. They said Iraq had WMDs and Bush said the war was over; clearly they did not and it isn’t. Our education was a priority; our schools are deteriorating. They claim to respect the values and morals of true Christians; yet Bush’s corrupt cronies continue to be ousted as sinners.
In a perfect world, a political party would support candidates that reflect the ideals of those they represent. In this world, the Republican Party told its members (twice) that the Bush administration was that reflection. In this world, the Republican Party leaders have walked hand-in-hand with the President since 2000. They supported his nomination, his positions, his actions, his vision, and exhibit the same exemplary ability to say one thing to cover up another. The current administration has been tagged by the world as corrupt and incompetent and clearly has no qualms with lying to its citizens; and yet the same party leaders who put them in power are telling their constituency to listen to the same messages from new messengers.
While those who control our current politics will use their ability to fool people into believing their rhetoric will represent their actions, Ron Paul continues to give direct, honest, and unfiltered answers; backed up by his past actions and current facts. Ron Paul can win over voters who are sick of choosing the least bad candidate because Ron Paul exudes integrity. And thankfully, as witnessed on November 5th, a glimpse of integrity can rekindle a dying enthusiasm for hope in American politics. Ron Paul can win because there will be Democrats like me, Independents like me, and Republicans like me that will vote for Ron Paul because he has a history of supporting his messages with his actions and shielding the persuasion of corporate greed with his integrity.
If you are under the impression that the “Ron Paul Revolution” has been borne from radicalism and is out of touch with the average voter, as the media is telling us, please do American politics the courtesy of making that decision for yourself. Direct information on Ron Paul and his message can be found by googling his name, listening to him on http://www.youtube.com/RonPaul2008dotcom, visiting www.RonPaul2008.com , or researching his history.
